other random things about me:
(I moved to Seattle to work for Boeing and be surrounded by mountains, so this section is a bit out-of-date.)
I enjoy working in the community, especially with organizations that promote active lifestyles like Inner City Outings, the Special Olympics, the Central Connecticut Bicycle Alliance, and the Hartford Marathon. I volunteer sporadically with other organizations in the areas of environment, education, the arts. I spent the latter part of '07 and all of '08 being an Obama campaign groupie (volunteering in NH, SC, CT, RI, PA, IN, KY and finally for the last 3 weeks in Crozier, VA) and was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention so I didn't get much climbing in, but it was an exciting year anyway!
I regularly embarrass myself attempting to surf and snowboard, try to keep up with my book club, and am a lifelong theater buff. I have a degree in environmental science and public policy from Harvard and (between climbing and working) am pursing a masters in economics at the University of Connecticut.
